Design Inspiration: Curves

Though clean, geometric designs are ideal for some households, a more relaxed attitude is also gaining popularity within bespoke kitchen designs – thanks to the kitchen’s reaffirmed status as ‘heart of the home’.

Curved cabinets can not only make the most of otherwise unused space, but they also create a sense of softness that lends informality to the overall aesthetic. The ‘kitchen work triangle’ is now a thing of the past: an almost 360 degree space – making use of curves and flexible lines – is what really suits the demands of modern living. Make the most of this idea with a curved central island: if you opt for a fluid design that provides room for friends and family members to sit (whilst also catering for food preparation and even cooking), you will enjoy a useful yet brilliantly inviting space. Our wooden worktops sit perfectly atop an island that has been created from our customisable range of oak cabinetry.

Some of our favourite ‘curved’ designs are below – but if you see any others that bring inspiration, please don’t hesitate to share with us on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, or Pinterest.
