Great Britain has a reputation for design excellence and innovation on an international scale, a tradition that has been in place since the Industrial Revolution (if not before); and one that Joseph & Kingsley are proud to be a part of. The Decorex International show – comprising the best in design from interiors to architecture – has long been a celebration of that fact.

Now in its 36th year, this weekend Decorex will be showcasing talents such as Nina Campbell and Hermès at its prestigious new Kensington Palace venue. Alongside the 300 exhibitors showcasing their wares, this year’s event includes a spectacular entrance designed by Kit Kemp MBE and a luxurious Champagne Bar by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. There will also be a range of seminars featuring leading members of the design field, to be held in special-themed tents throughout the expo.

Visitors – including a representative or two from Joseph & Kingsley! – will flock to the event, which takes place until the 25th September, in their thousands. We shall report back with our impressions in due course – and indeed, perhaps we may be inspired to add a new facet to our kitchen design service or an additional ‘Inspiration’ to the collection as a result…!

Joseph & Kingsley and the Times Cheltenham Literature Festival 2013 – Ginger Pig Competition

To celebrate the acclaimed Literature Festival, local kitchen experts Joseph & Kingsley invite festival enthusiasts to participate in our themed event and competition.

We are offering entrants the chance to win £2,500 off a wonderful kitchen from www.josephkingsley.co.uk plus two signed Ginger Pig cookbooks. Acclaimed foodies and festival speakers Tim Wilson and Nicola Swift – Ginger Pig Founder and Creative Food Director respectively – will announce the winner in a special event at the Joseph & Kingsley Cheltenham showroom.

As part of the festival, The Ginger Pig will be hosting a lunch in the Spiegeltent at 1pm on the 10th October; following this, they will progress to Joseph & Kingsley. From late afternoon Nicola and Tim will be on hand to answer any questions attendees may have, before announcing the winner of our competition.

The competition will run until 9th October and the event will take place from 3pm on the 10th October. To enter, simply answer the following question correctly:

Top-notch butchery is at the heart of The Ginger Pig’s business, and we’re keen to support this in our kitchens, too. As such we offer a range of solid wood butchers’ blocks… but what part of the timber do we use?

  • A) End grain
  • B) End plain
  • C) End pain

Entries should be submitted in person to the Joseph & Kingsley Cheltenham showroom. Full terms and conditions can be found via our competition page, please click here to view.
